De PCI Express SATA-controllerkaart maakt een Serial ATA PHY hogesnelheidsinterface met maximaal 6 Gb/s mogelijk via een native PCI Express-interface. De kaart ondersteunt SATA 6 Gb/s apparaten die voldoen aan de Serial ATA Revision 3.2 specificatie. De kaart is ook downwards compatibel met 1,5 Gb/s en 3,0 Gb/s SATA apparaten.
